Masking attribute data

Please note the following for masking attribute data:

You need the user role of Instance admin or Data master to view the Mask and Unmask options.
Masking data does not apply to the Instance admin role. This user role will still see the attribute's real values.
Masking data will obfuscate attribute values only in the following areas of the Oracle Unity user interface: Data viewer, Profile explorer, Segment sample viewer.
When Creating segments, you can still create segment conditions with masked attributes and also search for masked values in the attribute lookup field.
When Viewing data object records, you can still use masked attributes when Creating filters to search for masked attribute values.
Masking does not apply to data that is exported from Oracle Unity.

To mask data, follow the steps for Managing attributes and select Mask.
