Integration Guidelines

Important:

The following guidelines apply to the Planning and Budgeting Financials users.

To integrate Planning and Budgeting Financials with NetSuite, you must have the Administrator role and complete the following consecutive steps:

  1. Install the NSPB Sync SuiteApp.

    See the help topic Installing the NSPB Sync SuiteApp.

  2. Set up a password for file encryption.

    See the help topic Setting Up a Password for File Encryption.

  3. Set up the connection to your Planning and Budgeting.

  4. Install the Planning and Budgeting Sync Foundation SuiteApp. See Installing the Planning and Budgeting Sync Foundation SuiteApp.

  5. Install the Planning and Budgeting Financials Sync SuiteApp.

  6. Create or customize saved searches to load data and metadata from NetSuite to Planning and Budgeting Financials.

  7. Create default configurations for Planning and Budgeting Financials in your NetSuite account.

  8. Set up an integration user with proper permissions in NetSuite. You can either use the NSPB Sync integration user, or create a dedicated user for your integration with Planning and Budgeting Financials.

  9. Create a new NetSuite Planning and Budgeting application and configure it for Planning and Budgeting Financials.

  10. To authenticate the integration user who should connect from Planning and Budgeting to NetSuite, you need to set up token-based authentication (TBA).

  11. Enable the Planning and Budgeting Financials features in the newly created NetSuite Planning and Budgeting environment.

  12. Manually download your Data Management configurations in NetSuite and upload them to your newly created NetSuite Planning and Budgeting environment.

  13. Before you load data to Planning and Budgeting Financials, you need to set up values for substitution variables configured in Planning and Budgeting Financials.

  14. To load data to Planning and Budgeting Financials, manually run the Batch_Setup job.

  15. Add relevant NSPB Sync portlets to the Planning & Budgeting page in NetSuite, and customize them.
