Inactivating an Employee in NetSuite ERP

Applies to NSPOS 2020.1.10 or later.

When an employee record is set to Inactive in NetSuite ERP, the employee's role in NSPOS is automatically changed to Disabled. The disabled role means that the employee can no longer access NSPOS on any register.

When an employee is inactivated in NetSuite, their NSPOS role cannot be changed from the register. If you need the employee to return to an active role in NSPOS, you first must clear the Employee is Inactive box on their NetSuite employee record.

Inactive box on the employee record

Go to Lists > Employees > Employees and click Edit. See Inactivating Employee Records.

Tip:

You can change an employee's role to Disabled in NSPOS (from the register).

This feature is helpful when you need to remove access to NSPOS from an employee immediately. Remember to inactivate the employee later in NetSuite.

To temporarily remove access to NSPOS registers, see Disabling an Employee’s Access to NSPOS.
