Credit & Collection

The system periodically monitors how much your customers owe to ensure they haven't violated your collection criteria. When a violation is detected, the system generates the appropriate events (e.g., letters, disconnect field activities, To Do entries, write-off outstanding debt, etc.). This section describes how to manage your credit & collections processing.

Note:

In the section, The Big Picture Of Credit & Collection (C&C), we describe how to set up the control tables that automate most of your credit & collections processing. If you set these tables up properly, the system will manage most of your collection, severance and write-off processes; little or no user intervention should be necessary. You will only access the C&C pages when you need to override what the system does.
