Associating a Person to a Policy

Prerequisites

To associate a person to a policy, you should have:

  • Policy person roles defined in the application

Procedure

To associate a person to a policy:

  1. Ensure that the Persons section is expanded in the Policy screen when you are defining or editing a policy.

    The Persons section contains the following columns:

    Column Name Column Description Mandatory (Yes or No)
    Person Used to indicate the person that you want to associate to the policy.
    Note:

    The Search (The Search Icon) icon appears corresponding to the Person field. On clicking the Search icon, the Person Search window appears.

    On specifying the person, the concatenated string of information about the person appears corresponding to the Person field separated by a comma (,).

    Yes (Conditional)
    Note: This field is required when you are associating a person to the policy.
    Sequence Used to specify the sequence number for the associated person. Yes (Conditional)
    Note: This field is required when you are associating a person to the policy.
    Policy Person Role Used to indicate the role of the associated person in the policy. Yes (Conditional)
    Note: This field is required when you are associating a person to the policy.
    Main Customer Used to indicate whether the associated person is the main customer of the policy.
    Note:

    At a time, only one person can be the main customer of the policy.

    You must select this option while associating a person who is the main customer of the policy.

    Note: This field is required when you are associating a person to the policy.
    Start Date Used to specify the date from when the person is associated to the policy.
    Note:

    The start date cannot be later than the end date.

    The start date cannot be earlier than the policy start date and later than the policy end date.

    Yes (Conditional)
    Note: This field is required when you are associating a person to the policy.
    End Date Used to specify the date till when the person is associated to the policy.
    Note:

    The end date cannot be earlier than the start date.

    The end date cannot be earlier than the policy start date and later than the policy end date.

  2. Enter the required details in the Persons section.
  3. If you want to associate more than one person to the policy, click the Add (The Add Icon) icon and then repeat step 2.
    Note: However, if you want to remove a person from the person, click the Delete (The Delete Icon) icon corresponding to the person.
  4. Click Validate and Save.
    The person is associated to the policy.
