This action is used to prevent a page form field element or a HTML element from being shown to the agent.
The following configuration options are available for this action:
Element Property: This is used to specify the method used to identify the page element which contains the information you wish to hide. You can identify the page element using either the element name or the element ID.
If you identify the element by element name and the element is a form element, the value of the form element is not uploaded to the servers and so cannot be displayed.
If you identify the element by element ID, the element is replaced by a blank image of the same size.
Operator: This is used to specify the type of comparison to perform.
Element Property Value: This is used to specify the element name or the element ID of the element which contains the information you wish to hide. If you check the Match using Regular Expression box, this field is used to enter the Regular Expression you wish to use.
Note: It is possible that multiple instances of a form field with the same name can exist on a web page. In this case, if an action is configured to hide the information contained in an element with a name which is used more than once on the web page, the action is applied to each element with the specified element name.
Test Regular Expression: This button appears when you check the Match using Regular Expression box. It is used to provide a sample of text against which to test the Regular Expression specified for this action. Type in some sample text and press the Test button. A tick or cross is displayed to indicate whether the Regular Expression is valid when run against the sample text provided.
Match Using Regular Expression: This instructs the action to use a regEx to identify the element(s) to hide. If you wish to use a regEx, check this box and enter the regEx in the Element Property Value text box.
Case Sensitive: This is used to specify whether or not the page element match should be case sensitive. Checking the box instructs the action to use case sensitive matching. This option is not available if you check the Matches using Regular Expression box.
