The product catalog is a collection of repository items (categories, products, media, etc.) that provides the organizational framework for your commerce site. Oracle ATG Web Commerce includes a catalog implementation based on the SQL Repository, which you can use or extend as necessary.

You can create and edit all of your repository items through the ATG Control Center, which also allows you to create page templates to display these items (see the Commerce Guide to Setting Up a Store), or through Oracle ATG Web Commerce Merchandising (see the Merchandising Guide for Business Users).
