In a multisite environment, you can use the Sites tab to specify that a promotion only applies to items purchased from specific sites. For example, if you have a site focused on seasonal items, you may want to apply a promotion only to items sold on that site. The Sites tab is available only if you have more than one registered site configured. See the Multisite Administration Guide for information on multisite features.
You can select individual sites, site groups, or a combination of groups and sites. Note that if you select both a site group and a site within that group, the site does not act as a restriction; all sites in that group are eligible for the promotion. If you do not select anything on the Sites tab, the promotion is valid on all sites.
If you have specified site membership for a category, product, etc. as part of your condition or offer criteria on the General tab, you are responsible for ensuring that any site or site group selection on the Sites tab does not conflict with that condition. If a condition or offer depends on a site that is not valid for the promotion, the customer cannot qualify for that promotion.
On the Sites tab, you can set the following properties:
Sites—Select sites on which the promotion can be used.
Site Groups—Select site groups on which the promotion can be used.
