闲置核心和内存

在每个计算节点上执行此过程,以便将专用域中的 CPU 和内存资源移动到逻辑 CPU 和内存系统信息库中,从而使这些资源可用于 I/O 域。

如果您要闲置核心和内存,请仔细规划。闲置资源并创建 I/O 域后,无法将资源重新移动到专用域中。


注 -  要确定您是否可以执行此过程,请参见Supported Domain Configurations

注 -  示例基于 SuperCluster M6-32,不过,相同概念适用于 SuperCluster M7。

在此示例中,在 primary 域中闲置 12 个核心和 1 TB 内存,在 ssccn3-dom1 域中闲置 18 个核心和 1536 GB 内存。

下表显示了分配规划(请参见Plan CPU and Memory Allocations)。

  1. 以超级用户身份登录到计算节点的控制域。
  2. 确保所有应用程序都已关闭并且没有任何生产活动正在运行。
  3. 使用 ldm bind 命令激活任何非活动域。

    如果存在任何非活动域,则该工具将无法继续运行。

  4. 运行 osc-setcoremem 以更改资源分配。

    在此示例中,一些资源保持未分配状态,将其闲置。

  5. 如果该工具指示需要进行重新引导,则在系统重新引导后,在计算节点的控制域上以 root 用户身份登录。
  6. 验证新资源分配。

  8. 验证新资源分配。
