The program description is divided up as follows:
The data for keyboard of type Generic COM device can be updated, i.e. created, changed or deleted, with this program. Data which has already been stored can be displayed.
This device is similar to the Generic PS2 device. It allows for connection of read-only devices, e.g. magnetic card readers, waiter lock, scanner or central lock. This device also supports the operation of two devices on one COM interface, e.g. Generic display.
Note:
The MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application allows the configuration of 3 different generic entry
devices; two for connection to the PS2 interface and one for connection to the
COM interface.
