You can install redundant hardware instances of Corente Services Gateways for high availability and to allow you to perform maintenance tasks.
A redundant hardware installation consists of two
Corente Services Gateways that use the same configuration, a primary
instance and a redundant, or failover, instance. You configure
both instances with dedicated back-channel network interfaces that
are connected through a network device such as a hub or switch.
The primary and failover instances then communicate through the
back-channel network interface on a the
      1.1.1.1/30 subnet. The failover instance
detects if the primary instance becomes unavailable and then
      automatically takes over.
