Access the OpenBoot CLI
This procedure links to instructions in the OpenBoot documentation for several ways to reach the OpenBoot CLI. The method you use depends on the state of the OS at the time you attempt to access the OpenBoot CLI.
 | Caution - When possible, reach the OpenBoot CLI by performing a graceful shutdown of the OS. Any other method used might result in the loss of server state data. |
- Log in to Oracle ILOM.

Check the status of the host.
The status of the host determines the method used to get to OpenBoot.
For example:
-> show /HOST status

Based on the host status, perform one of these tasks:
