Japan Financial Statements

The Japan Financial Statements SuiteApp (Bundle ID 519372) includes the following reports:

Using the SuiteApp, you can define and generate these Japanese financial statements. The SuiteApp provides two templates for the financial statements, one template in English and another in Japanese.

On each financial statement page, you can specify the saved report or template to use, as well as define the period and subsidiary. For the balance sheet, you can choose to include individual accounts in rows under major sections that you defined in Financial Report Builder. After defining the scope and content, you can then generate the financial statement according to the values you specified. The financial statements can be exported to PDF or Excel.

Prerequisites for Installing the Japan Financial Statements SuiteApp

Before installing the SuiteApp, the following features must be enabled from Setup > Company > Enable Features:

  • On the Company subtab, check Multi-Language under International.

  • On the Accounting subtab, check Accounting Periods.

  • On the SuiteCloud subtab, check Advanced PDF/HTML Templates.

In addition, SuiteScript 2.1 must be enabled to access or view the comparative balance sheet, comparative income statement, and the new trial balance. To do this, go to Setup > Company > General Preferences and select 2.1 in the Execute SuiteScript 2.X Server Scripts As field.

Installing the Japan Financial Statements SuiteApp

Perform the following steps to install the Japan Financial Statements SuiteApp.

To install the Japan Financial Statements SuiteApp:

  1. Go to Customization > SuiteBundler > Search & Install Bundles.

  2. In the Keywords field, enter “Japan Financial Statements”, or 519372, the Bundle ID.

  3. Click Search. Japan Financial Statements, Bundle ID 519372, should appear in the search result.

  4. Click the Japan Financial Statements link.

  5. On the Bundle Details page, click Install.

  6. If you have other saved reports in your account, you must ensure that they are not in conflict with the saved reports included with the SuiteApp. On the Preview Bundle Install page, ensure that no saved report is indicated under the Existing Object in Conflict column. If there is a report under that column, go to the Action column and select Replace Existing Object.

The Japan Financial Statements SuiteApp is a managed bundle and is automatically updated whenever there are enhancements or new features released.

Limitations of the Japan Financial Statements SuiteApp

The Japan Financial Statements SuiteApp has the following limitations:

  • The SuiteApp is only available in English and Japanese.

  • The SuiteApp does not support multibook accounting.
