Searching and Maintaining Calculation Rules

Use this procedure to search for and maintain calculation rules.

  • Select Menu > Rates > Calculation Rule > Search.
  • Enter your search criteria.

    Available query options include Calculation Rule and Calculation Rule BO.

    • When searching by Calculation Rule, you can search by Calculation Group, Calculation Rule name, or Description.
    • When searching by Calculation Rule BO, you can search by Business Object, or Description.
  • Click Refresh.
  • In the search results list, click the Description link for the calculation rule you want to view or edit. To navigate to the rule's calculation group, click the Calculation Group link.

    The selected calculation rule is displayed in the Calculation Rule portal. You use this portal to maintain calculation rules. This portal includes the following zones:

    • Calculation Rule: Defines basic information about calculation rule
    • Eligibility Criteria List: Lists optional eligibility criteria for the current calculation rule. Eligibility criteria are used to determine whether a calculation rule should be applied (or skipped) during rate processing.

Use this procedure to maintain a calculation rule:

  • Select Menu > Rates > Calculation Rule > Search to navigate to the Calculation Rule Query portal.
  • Search for and select the appropriate calculation rule.
  • Click Edit, Delete, or Duplicate as appropriate.
  • To define eligibility criteria for the rule, click the Add link in the Eligibility Criteria List zone title bar. See "Eligibility Criteria" in About Calculation Rules for more information.
