The Components of a Lead Event

A lead event can have one or more steps. The lead event’s business object defines whether or not steps are applicable to that type of event. The corresponding lead event type defines the valid step types. For an example, refer to the Third Party Lead Event (C1-ThirdPartyLeadEvt) and Send Notification to Third Party Lead Event Type (C1-LETypeNotifyThirdParty) business objects provided in base.

Lead Event Log

Every lead event has a log holding its history. Entries are added to the log when meaningful events occur, for example:
  • When a lead event is created.
  • When a lead event’s status changes (e.g. transitions to the completed or cancelled state).
  • Details of the content sent (if applicable).
  • Users can manually add log entries as desired.
