4 Visits and Scheduling
You can view current and past visits, view clinical notes and visit summaries, and schedule new visits. You can also reschedule or cancel a visit.
Visits are appointments with a care team or provider. Visits can occur in-person or virtually through video visits. Other types of visits include diagnostic services, care coordination activities, and other administrative encounters.

If your provider includes the ability to self-schedule visits, you can use the Schedule Visits feature to schedule a visit with your provider. See Schedule New Visits (Find New Care) in the Patient Portal for more information.

If your provider does not include the ability to self-schedule visits, you may need to send a message to request an appointment (if this feature is available to you) or call the office.
To schedule a new visit, from the navigation menu, select Visits, and then select Make an Appointment (or similarly named button), typically displayed in the upper-right corner.
You can schedule the following types of visits:
- Schedule with your care team: Select the name of the care team if you want to schedule a follow-up or return visit with that care team.
- Favorites: Select Schedule Again next to visits displayed from your Favorites list.
- Find new care: Select Find New Care to schedule all other visit types.

You can view details about a visit, including any related documents, by selecting it. - Schedule New Visits (Find New Care) in the Patient Portal
After signing in to your patient portal account, you can search for and schedule a visit with a new provider. - Schedule Follow-Up or Return Visits in Patient Portal
Once you have already seen a provider, you can schedule a return visit with that provider. This feature is useful when scheduling follow-up visits. - Add to Calendar in Patient Portal
You can add any upcoming, non-canceled visit to the personal calendar on your device. - Reschedule a Visit
Depending on your healthcare organization and account settings, you may be able to directly self-reschedule an upcoming visit. - Cancel a Visit in Patient Portal
Depending on your healthcare organization and account settings, you might be able to directly cancel an upcoming (but not yet completed) scheduled visit. - View the Visit Summary for a Past Visit in Patient Portal
Visit summaries are documents created by Patient Portal after a patient's visit with a care team. Visit summaries can provide an overview of what occurred during the visit in relation to your overall health history. - View Clinical Notes for a Past Visit in Patient Portal
Clinical notes might be available for a completed visit with a care team. Clinical notes can include any information or documents provided by the care team, such as discharge instructions, history and physical, procedure notes, or consultations. - Manage and Schedule Favorite Visits in Patient Portal
You can set visit types as favorites so that you can quickly schedule that visit type again. - Book Again a Completed Visit in Patient Portal
The book again feature allows you to schedule a new occurrence of a completed appointment.
