Power On the Server (Oracle ILOM)
There are four memory risers in the server, arranged in two pairs. One pair of memory risers is associated with CMP0; the other pair of memory risers is associated with CMP1. Each memory riser has slots for eight DDR3 DIMMs.
In addition, there are four memory riser filler panels in the server. These memory riser filler panels must be installed to ensure proper system airflow.
Note - The server fails to boot unless all eight memory riser slots are populated. For more information about memory riser configuration, see Memory Riser Population Rules.
