Important: When you rename a profile group, you must update all references you’ve made to it in other ATG Control Center windows. For example, if the group is referenced by a content targeter, be sure to update the targeting rules in the Content Targeters window. (For details, see the Setting Up Targeting Business Rules section.) Otherwise, the targeter will continue to refer to the old group name and errors will occur whenever it is invoked on the Web site.
To rename an existing profile group or move it to another folder:
Select the profile group in the Profile and Content Groups window.
Select File > Move/Rename Group. (Note: You cannot move or rename a group that is currently open in the ATG Control Center. To close the group, navigate to it by using the arrow buttons in the toolbar, and then select File > Close.)
The Rename Group dialog box appears.
To move the group to a different folder, select the destination folder from the list at the top of the dialog box. To rename the group, type the new name (do not include spaces). Note that these folders are internal to the ATG Personalization module; for more information, see Creating New Profile Groups.
Click OK.
