The switch's SFP+ ports support the following types of cables:
10 Gbyte/1 Gbyte dual speed fiber (300m)
10 Gbps direct attach copper (5m or 10m)
A passive copper data cable is a single-part unit. The cable and the connectors are a single combined assembly.
An active fiber SFP+ data cable is a three-part unit, where the cable and the optical tranceivers are separate components. You must assemble this type of cable before connecting it. See Assemble an SFP+ Data Cable.
