Attach Telco Adapters to the Rack Slides

If you are installing the switch into a telco rack, you must install the telco adapters to the rack slides.

1. Identify the prerequisite and subsequent installation tasks that you must perform in conjunction with this procedure.

   See Installation Task Overview.

2. Gather these components.

   • Rack slide assembly (2)

   • Telco adapters (2)

   • M6 cage nuts (2)

   • M5x10 mm Philips screws (4)

3. Insert a cage nut into the square hole of the telco adapter from the outside in.
   
4. Slide the fingers of the telco adapter over the flange at the rectangular opening end of the rack slide.
   
5. Using a No. 2 Philips screwdriver, secure the telco adapter to the rack slide with two M5x10 screws.
   
6. Repeat Step 3 through Step 5 for the other telco adapter and rack slide.
7. Attach the rack slides to the rack.
