When you want to work with an existing customer, you can search for the customer using a number of different criteria. Once you have found the customer, before you can work with the customer profile, you must make the customer the active customer. The customer is active when the customer name appears in the global context area.

Note: If the existing customer has Commerce B2B information, the B2B properties will not be displayed. If your are working in an environment with multiple sites and site access is controlled, you will be able to see only those customers who are members of the profile realms that are associated with the sites to which you have access.
