Before You Begin
To install a new Sun Flash Accelerator F40 PCIe Card:

Power down the system.
Refer to the server sservice manual.
Caution - Hazardous voltages are present. Disconnect the server from the main power and from any networks before installing the card to avoid electrical shock. |

Note - Exceeding the maximum number of Sun Flash Accelerator F40 PCIe Cards or placing cards in unsupported slots results in host platform error report and shutdown.
Save the bracket screw, if applicable.
The following figure shows how to insert the card in a PCI Express slot:
