|
Lithium coin-cell battery that powers the CMOS BIOS and real-time
clock.

|
Add or replace memory in the system.

Storage drives
|
Replace one of the twelve 3.5-inch hot-pluggable SAS HDDs.

Fan modules
|
Contains four fan modules for cooling the server components.
|
|
PCIe cards
|
Add-in cards.
|
|
Power supply unit (PSU)
|
Two fully redundant AC-powered power supplies.
|
|
Processor and heatsink
|
The processor that carries out the instructions of the system.

Disk backplanes
|
Provide power and communications connectors for storage drives.
|

SAS cables
|
Provide signals between the front disk backplane and the Oracle
Storage 12 Gb SAS PCIe RAID HBA, and from the front disk backplane to the
rear disk backplane.

|
Located in PCIe slot 6, the Sun Storage 12 Gb SAS PCIe RAID HBA
manages SAS storage drives.

Front LED/USB indicator modules
|
Contain the push-button circuitry and LEDs that are displayed on the
bezel of the chassis.

Motherboard assembly
|
Provides connectors for the DIMMs, processors, PCIe risers, and other
components.
