Shares and Projects

The Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance product uses storage pools, projects, and shares to organize data. Shares are filesystems and LUNs that are exported over supported data protocols to clients of the appliance. All shares within a project can share common settings, and quotas can be enforced at the project level in addition to the share level. To create and modify projects, use these tasks:

  • Creating a Project - BUI, CLI

  • Deleting a Project - BUI, CLI

To create and modify filesystems and LUNs, use these tasks:

  • Creating a Filesystem or LUN in a Project - BUI, CLI
