Before you can use it, you must download the Design Code Utility and install it using Node Package Manager.
To download and install the Design Code Utility:
Log in to the Commerce Cloud administration interface.
Click the menu icon, then click Design.
Click the Code tab.
Under Advanced, click Developer Tools.
Under Design Code Utility, click the Download button.
Save the ZIP file to a location on your local machine and extract its contents.
Change directories to the extracted location and run the following command to install the Design Code Utility script:
npm install -g
The install process makes the Design Code Utility script available through the dcu.cmd|sh command. At this point, you can either run the dcu command via a command prompt or by configuring the integrated development environment (IDE) of your choice to run it.
