Windows Server OS Installation Tasks

The following table describes the high-level steps for installing Windows Server software.

Install server hardware and connect to the Oracle ILOM service processor.

Confirm the Windows Server release that you want to install.

Verify that your system meets the requirements for Windows Server installation:
  • Minimum memory, disk space, and other system requirements.

  • Firmware is updated to the latest version.

Prepare to install Windows Server:

Partition your system. The Installer can install Windows Server on an entire disk or on a partition.

Download the Windows Server image.

Perform a Windows Server Installation.

Use the Windows Server OS to update Windows Server.
