Adding the Type of Inventory Ownership and Custody to Locations for Brazil

Note:

To access the Brazil Localization SuiteApp documentation in Brazilian Portuguese (Português do Brasil), see Brazil Localization.

You must define the type of inventory ownership and custody for your locations from Brazil if you:

Inbound and outbound deliveries are transactions in which items are moved between locations without being bought or sold. These transactions may affect your inventory levels.

For example, you can receive an inbound delivery with items for repair. The items belong to the vendor who sent you the inbound delivery, but they are in your custody. In this case, the location you select on the transaction should identify a third-party inventory in custody of the subsidiary.

To add the type of inventory ownership and custody to a location:

  1. Go to Setup > Company > Classifications > Locations.

  2. Click Edit next to the location you want.

  3. In the Inventory Ownership and Custody field, select the type of inventory the location identifies.

  4. If the inventory is owned or held by a third-party, in the Customer or Vendor field, select the customer or vendor that owns or holds the items in this location.

If you selected Subsidiary Inventory, do not select anything on the Customer or Vendor field.

  5. Click Save.
