NetSuite AI Units and NetSuite Features

NetSuite AI Units are consumed each time you use generative AI features in NetSuite and NetSuite Next. The following section displays estimates of how many AI Units might be consumed when you use a generative AI feature for various transactions.

AI Units Usage Estimates for Generative AI Features

Important:

Depending on the complexity of the request, the actual values for the AI Units used may vary from the estimated values. AI Units usage will be visible on the Billing Information page. Go to Setup > Company > View Billing Information.

Be aware that the following usage values are only estimates. The amount of AI Units used in your account for similar transactions may vary from these estimates.

  • Ask Oracle

    The amount of AI Units consumed when using Ask Oracle varies. For example:

    • Asking simple questions, like "How do I create a vendor credit in NetSuite?" could consume approximately 10 AI Units.

    • Asking analysis questions, like "What is the remaining balance of invoice INV-1008?" could consume between 10-50 AI Units.

    • Asking research questions, like "Show me the top five customers by overdue A/R balance this quarter" could consume between 50-200 AI Units.

  • Case Summary helps Customer Support Reps quickly understand complex support cases by generating concise, context-rich summaries of cases.

    • Summarizing a case could consume between 5-75 AI Units.

  • Narrative Insights uses generative AI to create concise, contextual summaries of supported NetSuite records and reports.

    • Click Generate Insight on a Customer record to understand the account's current status, recent changes, open items, key transactions, and any billing or credit issues. Narrative Insights could consume between 5-200 AI Units.

  • Prompt Studio lets authorized users create, manage, and test prompt-based AI experiences, so you can standardize how AI assists with common writing tasks.

    • You could create a prompt action for your customer support reps that summarizes a case and suggests the next best response. Testing the prompt action could consume between 5-10 AI Units.

  • SuiteScript 2.1 N/llm Module lets developers send prompts to an LLM and receive responses to build custom generative AI workflows in NetSuite.

    • For example, a SuiteApp script sends a prompt like"Create a concise renewal reminder email for this customer using the subscription end date, renewal amount, and account manager name from the current record." Something like this request could consume from 5-25 AI Units.

  • Text Enhance helps you draft, revise, translate, summarize, and adapt text.

    • Requesting that Text Enhance reword a message from your support team to your customer could consume between 5-10 AI Units.

  • Transaction Matching Assistant uses rules to find multiple possible matches, recommends the most likely one (and explains why). It leaves the final choice to the user.

    • For example, a bank transaction for $1,250 indicates 'ACH payment to Acme Supplies for invoice 4812'. NetSuite has multiple possible $1,250 payment matches for the same vendor. An example like this could consume between 5-10 AI Units.
