Associating an Algorithm with an Accrual Type

Prerequisites

To associate an algorithm with an accrual type, you should have:

  • System events defined in the application

  • Algorithms defined for the system events

Procedure

To associate an algorithm with an accrual type:

  1. Ensure that the Algorithms section is expanded in the Accrual Type screen when you are defining, editing, or copying an Accrual Type.
    The Algorithms section contains the following fields in a grid:
    Field Name Field Description Mandatory (Yes or No)
    System Event Used to indicate the system event for which the algorithm is executed. The valid values are:

    • Accrual Calculation - Used to attach an algorithm which is triggered for calculating an accrual.

    • Accrual Creation - Used to attach an algorithm which is triggered for creating an accrual request.

    • Accrual Eligibility - Used to attach an algorithm which is triggered to verify the eligibility of the accrual.

    • Accrual Post Calculation - Used to attach an algorithm which is triggered for undertaking the post calculation activities for the accrual amount.

    • Accrual Post Processing - Used to attach an algorithm which is triggered for undertaking some postprocessing activities on the accrual amount.

    • Accrual Pre Processing - Used to attach an algorithm which is triggered for undertaking some preprocessing activities on the accrual amount.

    • Accrual Reversal - Used to attach an algorithm which is triggered for the accrual reversal process.

    • Accrual Reversal Post Processing - Used to attach an algorithm which is triggered for undertaking some postprocessing activities on the accrual reversal process.

    • Accrual Reversal Pre Processing - Used to attach an algorithm which is triggered for undertaking some preprocessing activities on the accrual reversal process.

    		 Yes (Conditional)
    Note: This field is required while associating an algorithm with the accrual type.
    Sequence Used to specify the order in which the algorithms with the same system event must be executed. Yes (Conditional)
    Note: This field is required while associating an algorithm with the accrual type.
    Algorithm Used to specify the algorithm that you want to execute on the system event.
    Note:

    The Search (The Search Icon) icon appears corresponding to the Algorithm field. On clicking the Search (The Search Icon) icon, the Algorithm Search window appears.

    On specifying the algorithm, the description of the algorithm appears corresponding to the Algorithm field.

    		 Yes (Conditional)
    Note: This field is required while associating an algorithm with the accrual type.
  2. Enter the required details in the Algorithms section.
  3. If you want to associate more than one algorithm to the accrual type, click the Add (The Add Icon) icon and then repeat step 2.
    Note: However, if you want to disassociate an algorithm from the accrual type, click the Delete (The Delete Icon) icon corresponding to the algorithm.
  4. Click Save.
    The algorithm is associated with an accrual type.
