ATG Content Administration provides several project workflows for managing projects. These workflows contain the same tasks; they differ only in how deployment tasks are configured. Each workflow provides a different deployment model, as described in the following summaries:
Standard includes tasks for authoring and reviewing content, and optionally deploying the project upon completion. By default, the Edit Assets workflow calls the Standard workflow, meaning that all new projects created in the ATG Business Control Center use the Standard workflow.
With the Standard workflow, you can deploy assets after the last task is complete, or you can defer deployment—for example, to a nightly batch operation. For complete details, see Standard Workflow in this chapter.
Early Staged lets you preview assets on a staging server before deploying them to a production site. Assets are checked in before deployment to the staging server. See Early Staged Workflow for more information.
