Connect Terminals or Emulators to the SP SER MGT Ports
Prior to powering on the server for the first time, make serial connections to the
two SPs. After making these serial connections, you will be able to view the system
status and error messages when you supply power to the server.
Note -
If you supply power to the server without first connecting terminals to the
SER MGT 0 ports, you will not see the system power-on messages.
-
Confirm that you have connected cables to the SER MGT 0 ports on the two SPs
located at the rear of the server.
See Connect SP Cables.
-
Connect terminals or a terminal emulators (PC or workstation) to the two
serial connections.
