Unable to launch Oracle ILOM Remote Console using JRE 1.6.0 U14, U15, and U16

If you try to launch the Oracle ILOM Remote Console through the web using some builds of Java Runtime Environment (JRE), the system returns the error "Unable to Launch the Application."

Affected hardware and software:

Sun Fire X4170 M2 Server
Sun Fire X4270 M2 Server
All operating systems using JRE 1.6.0, U14, U15, and U16
Releases 1.0 through 1.10.1

Workaround:

Upgrade to JRE 1.6.0 U17 or later.
