Emulated Terminal Types and Key Mapping

The blade server BIOS supports the standard key mappings of VT-UTF8, VT100+, VT100, and ANSI to standard PC keyboard, including the mappings of the standard PC function keys to the ESC sequences for use with the VT100 terminal.

To generate the key Sequence of <ESC> ^A or <ESC> ^C:

  1. Press <ESC>, <SHIFT>, and the number 6 at the same time.

    where <SHIFT>+6 will generate ^.

  2. Release all the keys.

  3. Press the <SHIFT> key and the character “c” at the same time, so that the capital character “C” is created, or press the <Caps Lock> key once (make sure the LED is ON), then press the “c” key.
