When you click Next, ATG Commerce Service Center displays the Shipping Information page, where you can specify the shipping address for the order. ATG Commerce Service Center automatically associates the current customer’s default shipping address with the order, but you can change the shipping address to any address in the customer’s address book. In addition, you can select a shipping method, such as Ground, Two Day, or Next Day, for each shipping address in an order.
If the order contains multiple items, you can ship the order to multiple addresses, as described in Shipping to Multiple Addresses.
To specify the shipping information for the order:
Select Shipping from the Stepwise Guide if the Shipping Information Page is not active.
Do one of the following:
If you have an active customer, and you want to use default shipping address, skip this step and continue with step 2.
If you want to associate the order with a shipping address other than the default address, or you do not have an active customer, ensure that the Add New Address radio button is selected. Enter the address information.
Select a shipping method.
Click the Next button.
The system displays the Billing Information page, where you can now add the payment information to the order. See Adding Billing Information.
Shipping to Multiple Addresses
If the customer’s order contains multiple items, you can ship any combination of items to any of the customer’s shipping addresses (either the default address or any address in the customer’s address book).
To ship an order to multiple shipping addresses:
Select Shipping from the Stepwise Guide if the Shipping Information page is not active.
On the Shipping Information page, click Ship To Multiple Addresses.
For each item in the order, select a shipping address from the Shipping Address drop-down list. The Shipping Address drop-down list contains the customer’s default shipping address (listed as My Shipping Address) and all the addresses in the customer’s address book. You can enter a new address for shipping by providing the shipping information.
Note: To split the quantity of an item, click Split Quantity, and enter a value in the Qty to Move field for the item, select an address from the drop-down list. The page updates to show two entries for the item, one for each address.
Click Next to select the shipping information for each shipment. Once you have entered the shipping information, click Next to add the payment information to the order. See Adding Billing Information.
