Oracle Solaris ZFS Version Descriptions
This appendix describes available ZFS versions, features of each version,
and the Solaris OS that provides the ZFS version and feature.
The following sections are provided in this appendix:
Overview of ZFS Versions
New ZFS pool and file system features are introduced and accessible by using a specific ZFS
version that is available in Solaris releases. You can use the zpool upgrade or
zfs upgrade to identify whether a pool or file system is at lower version than
the currently running Solaris release provides. You can also use these commands to upgrade your pool
and file system versions.
For information about using the zpool upgrade and zfs upgrade commands, see Upgrading ZFS
File Systems and Upgrading ZFS Storage Pools.
