Servicing the DVD Drive
The SATA DVD drive is mounted in a slot that is accessed from the system's front panel. You also must detach cables inside the chassis to remove the DVD drive. See Internal Component Locations. The DVD drive must be removed from the drive cage in order to service the drive backplane.
