In CRS-IUA, when a shopper opts in, they can take advantage of the Apple iBeacon technology. When the shopper walks in to CRS Store their CRS-IUA app detects by the store’s iBeacon device. As the shopper is walks though the store, they can receive notifications and request help from a sale associate who is alerted through the Oracle Commerce Assisted Selling Application (ASA) app. The sales associate is able to location the shopper based on their proximity with a specific beacon.

iBeacon functionality in IUA can still be useful without ASA. While your shopper would not be able to request help, they could still receive iBeacon alerts, such as a 10% discount for entering the store and a welcome message.
