Both the Oracle Commerce and Oracle Commerce Guided Search servers return data in the JSON format, which the client must consume. JSON parsing refers to the extraction of data from a JSON response in order to produce a model object. Oracle Commerce and Oracle Commerce Guided Search handle JSON requests and responses in different ways because of the nature of their API’s. In general, Guided Search parsing uses dynamically assembled view models and Oracle Commerce parsing uses pre-defined data models.
