Dashboard

The Dashboard displays a systemwide view of the components and activities in your library tape system. It includes multiple portlets of information, which may be graphs, tables, or text reports. You can customize the display by adding, deleting, or rearranging portlets, and by filtering the data in individual portlets.

Quick Links

The Quick Links screen shows a list of all templates available to you. The templates are grouped by screen. Clicking on a template name takes you to the indicated screen with the template applied. Predefined templates, which are delivered with the STA application, are indicated by an asterisk (*) after the name.

Complexes Overview

The Complexes Overview screen displays high-level information about library components and activities in your library tape system. The information is broken out by library complex. For SL8500 libraries, a library complex is a group of libraries joined together by pass-thru ports (PTPs). For SL150, SL500, and SL3000 libraries, a complex is the same as an individual library, since these models can only exist as standalone libraries.

Number of drives reserved for Media Validation	Total number of drives in your tape library system that have been assigned to the validation drive pools and also meet the minimum requirements for use by STA. This value is an active link. You can click the link to go to the Drives – Overview screen filtered to display detail about these drives.
Use media from the following manual logical group for Calibration	Identifies the qualification media logical group to be used for drive calibration and qualification. If None is selected, then drive calibration and qualification are disabled.
