Multivariate Tests Dashboard

Note: This dashboard is available only to users with the Email Analytics Manager role.

This dashboard provides the test results of all running and completed Multivariate Tests. The winning version of each test is marked with . For information about Multivariate Testing, see Multivariate Testing (MVT).

This dashboard includes the following charts and table:

Tip: To see only tests run between specific dates, select the date range from the Test Start From and Test Start To menus.

To open the Multivariate Tests dashboard:

  1. Click The Insight icon Insight on the side navigation bar, and select Interactive Dashboards.
  2. Click Dashboards > Analytics.
  3. On the Analytics page, select the Email tab and expand Performance.
  4. Click Multivariate Tests.

Dimensions

A dimension is a data attribute used to categorize or filter a measure. A measure by itself has no meaning if presented without the context of a dimension.

Dimension Definition
Program Name of the program
Campaign Name of the campaign
Version Name Name of the test version
Version Description Describes the elements associated with a test version
Test Status Status of the test: 'Ended' for completed tests, 'Running' for running tests
Test Start Date & Hour Start Date of an instance of a test

Measures

A measure is a numerical measurement representing the calculations gathered from your Oracle Responsys account and applied to your reports.

Measure Definition
Sent Number of sent messages.
Opens Number of email messages opened, including multiple opens, except Auto Opens. Learn more about tracking opens.
Open Rate (Opens / Delivered) * 100%
Clicks Count of total clicks; that is, clicks on all links, including multiple clicks on the same link(s). Unsubscribes do not register as Clicks.
Click-Through Rate (Total Clicks / Delivered) * 100%
Unsubscribes do not register as Clicks and therefore do not contribute to the calculation of Click-Through Rate, which is why a campaign's Click-Through Rate may be different from its Unsubscribe Rate.
Conversions Number of conversion actions. Learn more about conversion tracking here.
Conversion Rate (Conversions / Delivered) * 100%
Unsubscribes Count of unsubscribes. Unsubscribes do not register as Clicks. Learn more about setting up the default unsubscribe action for campaigns.
Unsubscribe Rate (Unsubscribes / Delivered) * 100%
Unsubscribes do not register as Clicks and therefore do not contribute to the calculation of Click-Through Rate, which is why a campaign's Click-Through Rate may be different from its Unsubscribe Rate. Learn more about setting up the default unsubscribe action for campaigns.

Multivariate Tests Chart

The Multivariate Tests table shows all tests that have been run for a campaign. To view tests for a specific campaign, click the campaign name.

Test Version Performance Table and Charts

The Test Version Performance table and charts show results of all tests of the campaign selected in the Multivariate Tests table.
