Viewing the Top Five Recurring Revenues

The Top 5 Recurring Revenue portlet shows which customers generate the most recurring revenue. It displays a donut chart of your top five customers by monthly or annual recurring revenue.

Use this chart to quickly identify your most important customers and plan how to retain and grow your best customers.

Top Five Recurring Revenue Chart Key Components

The top five recurring revenue chart includes the following key components:

  • Data sources - Revenue Metrics dashboard, customer subscription data, billing records from NetSuite.

  • Visualization - Donut chart displaying top five customers by MRR or ARR, highlighting key revenue contributors.

  • Metrics - Ending balances for MRR and ARR, shown as a percentage for each class.

  • Filters - Metric (ARR or MRR), subsidiary, item, department, class, and location.

  • Reporting periods - This Month, Last Month, This Quarter, Last Quarter, This Year, Last Year, Trailing Twelve Months (TTM), Year to Month (YTM), Before Last Month.

Definition

MRR

The total predictable revenue generated from active subscriptions each month.

ARR

The total predictable revenue generated from active subscriptions each year.

Top Five Customers

Customers with the highest MRR or ARR in the selected period.

Churn

The total recurring revenue lost due to customer cancellations in the period.

Net New

The ending recurring revenue minus the beginning recurring revenue for the period.

To view the top five recurring revenue chart:

  1. Go to Subscription Metrics > Revenue Metrics > View.

  2. From the Metric filter, select ARR or MRR.

  3. (Optional) Apply filters to refine results.

    Note:

    The chart doesn't consider the Customer filter at the top of the dashboard.

  4. Select the duration you want to review.

  5. View the donut chart to see your top five customers by recurring revenue.
