Viewing the Top Five Recurring Revenues

The Top 5 Recurring Revenue portlet shows which customers bring in the most recurring revenue. It displays a simple donut chart of your top five customers. You can choose to see either monthly or annual recurring revenue.

This tool helps you spot your most important customers quickly. It also helps you plan how to keep and grow your best customers.

Top Five Customers Chart Key Components

  • Data sources - Revenue Metrics dashboard, customer subscription data, billing records.

  • Visualization - Donut chart displaying top five customers by MRR or ARR, highlighting key revenue contributors.

  • Metrics - Ending balances for MRR and ARR, shown as a percentage for each class.

  • Filters - Metric (ARR or MRR), subsidiary, item, department, class, and location. Excludes the customer filter at the top of the dashboard for consistent top customer analysis.

  • Reporting periods - This Month, Last Month, This Quarter, Last Quarter, This Year, Last Year, Trailing Twelve Months (TTM), Year to Month (YTM), Before Last Month.

MRR

The total predictable revenue generated from active subscriptions each month.

ARR

The total predictable revenue generated from active subscriptions each year.

Top Five Customers

Customers with the highest MRR or ARR in the selected period.

Churn

Total recurring revenue lost due to customer cancellations in the period.

Net New

Ending recurring revenue minus beginning recurring revenue for the period.

To view the top five customers chart:

  1. Go to Subscription Metrics > Revenue Metrics > View.

  2. From the Metric filter, select ARR or MRR.

  3. (Optional) Apply the applicable filters.

    Note:

    The chart ignores the Customer filter at the top of the dashboard.

  4. Select the duration you want to review.

  5. View the donut chart to see your top five customers by recurring revenue.
