Adding a Market Product

Prerequisites

To add a market product, you should have:

  • Product defined in the application.

Procedure

To add a market product:

  1. Click the Menu link in the Application toolbar.
    A list appears.
  2. From the Main menu, select Retail Banking and then click the Market Product sub-menu.
    A sub-menu appears.
  3. Click the Add option from the Market Product sub-menu.

    The Market Product Information screen appears. It contains the following pages:

    The Basic Details page contains the following zone:

    The Search Product zone contains the following fields:

    Field Name Field Description Mandatory (Yes or No)
    Search By Used to indicate whether you want to search for product using product details. The valid value is:
    Note: The default value is Product Details.
    		 Yes
    Product Name Used to specify the product. No
    Description Used to specify the description for the product. No
    Product Category Used to indicate the category of the product. No
    Product Type Used to indicate the type of the product. No

    On clicking Search button, the search results appear based on the specified search criteria. The search results include product code, description, product category, product type, effective start date and effective end date that are associated with the product.

    The Search Results section contains the following columns:

    Column Name Column Description
    Product Code Used to specify the product code.
    Description Used to specify the description for the product.
    Product Category Used to indicate the category of the product.
    Product Type Used to indicate the type of the product.
    Start Date Used to specify the date from when the product is effective.
    End Date Used to specify the date till when the product is effective.
    Note: Pagination is used to display limited number of records in the Search Results section. You can use the navigation links, such as Previous and Next to navigate between pages.
  4. Select the required product from the search result.
    Note: You cannot add more than one product to the market product.
  5. On clicking Select and Proceed button, the Basic Details page of Market Product Information screen appears.

    The Basic Details zone contains the following fields:

    Field Name Field Description Mandatory (Yes or No)
    Market Product Code Used to specify the market product code. Yes
    Market Product Name Used to specify the market product. Yes
    Description Used to specify the description for the market product. No
    Start Date Used to specify the date from when the product is effective. Yes
    End Date Used to specify the date till when the product is effective. No
    Terms and Conditions Used to associate terms and conditions with the product.
    Note: The Search (The Search Icon) appears corresponding to the Terms and Conditions field. On clicking the Search icon, the Terms and Conditions Search for Product window appears where you can associate the terms and conditions with the product.

  6. Enter the required details in the Basic Details page.
  7. Associate the market product with divisions in the Other Details page, if required.
  8. Define characteristics for the market product in the Other Details page, if required.
  9. Define and add eligibility rule and parameter for the market product in the Eligibility page, if required.
  10. Add a service for the market product in the Services page, if required.
  11. Search and select the price list for the market product in the Price List page, if required..
  12. Click Submit.
    A window appears confirming the market product is submitted in the system.
  13. Click the Close button in the confirmation window.
    The market product is added.
    Tip: Alternatively, you can access the Market Product Information screen by clicking the Add Market Product button in the Page Title area of the Market Product screen.
