Close

A quote is closed when its terms are no longer valid (i.e., when the related proposal contracts can no longer be accepted). Most quotes are closed automatically by the system (refer to Closing Quotes for how this takes place).

If you want to close a quote real time, click the Close button. When this button is clicked, the system opens the Close Quote window and asks if anything should be done with the related proposal contracts.

In the resulting window, you must specify one of the following Proposal Contract Actions:

• Choose No Action if you don't want to change the status of the related proposal contracts.
• Choose Decline if you want the status of the proposal contracts that have contributed quote details to the quote to be changed to declined. You must also define a Decline Reason.
• Choose Cancel if you want the status of the proposal contracts that have contributed quote details to the quote to be changed to canceled.
