Should the shopper not want the gift, you can still submit the order without selecting a free gift. When you do, an informational message appears but the order is still submitted.

Free gifts can only be removed from orders that have not been submitted or fulfilled. To work with returning and/or exchanging orders with free gifts, refer to the Issuing Refunds section.

You can remove a free gift from the order by selecting the delete icon next to the gift to remove the gift item from the shopping cart.
