Cannot Boot-From-SAN on the Sun Blade X6250 System

Issue: The ILOM/BIOS of the Sun Blade X6250 system disables the ExpressModule 0 and 1 BIOS Option ROM. This prevents the Emulex Lightpulse x86 BIOS banner from being displayed upon boot of the Sun Blade X6250 system.

Workaround: Modify the BIOS menu by doing the following:

To Modify the BIOS Menu

1. Boot the Sun Blade X6250 system.
2. In the BIOS menu, press the F2 key for setup.
3. From the BIOS Boot menu, select [Enabled] for all of the EMx FUNx OPTION ROM settings.
4. Press the F10 key to save the BIOS settings and reboot the Sun Blade X6250 system.

   The Emulex Lightpulse x86 BIOS banner will be displayed, allowing you to configure Boot-from-SAN.
