On the Sun Blade X6275 System,
Default HBA Settings Do Not Allow Boot-From-SAN Through FC Ports

Issue: When using an
external storage boot disk connect, you cannot select Boot-from-SAN
through the FC ports of the HBA.
Workaround: To enable
Boot-from-SAN through the FC ports of the HBA, do the following:
To Enable Boot-From-SAN Through
the FC Ports of the HBA
- Boot
the Sun Blade X6275 system.
- In the BIOS menu, press the F2
key for setup.
- In the BIOS Boot menu, select Boot Settings Configuration.
- Review the Boot Device Priority
and verify that the FC device targeted is in priority position 1.
- If the FC device is targeted
to a different priority position, modify the value so that the priority
position is 1 for the targeted FC device.
- Press F10 to save the BIOS settings
and reboot the Sun Blade X6275 system.
