Set Host Power at Boot (Oracle ILOM)

  1. Ensure that you have Admin (a) role privileges in Oracle ILOM.
  2. To set a power-on policy in the Oracle ILOM web interface:
    1. Log in to the Oracle ILOM web interface.
    2. In the navigation pane, click System Management → Policy.
    3. In the Service Processor Policies table, select one of the following policies:
      • Auto power-on host on boot
      • Set host power to last power state on boot

      The power-on policies are mutually exclusive, that is, you can enable only one policy at a time. For more information about each policy, click the More Details link at the top of the page.

    4. In the Actions drop-down list, select Enable.
  3. To set a power-on policy in the Oracle ILOM command-line interface (CLI):
    1. Log in to the Oracle ILOM CLI.
    2. Use one of the following commands:
      • set /SP/policy HOST_AUTO_POWER_ON=enabled
      • set /SP/policy HOST_LAST_POWER_STATE=enabled

      The power-on policies are mutually exclusive, that is, you can enable only one policy at a time.
