Disable or Enable Network Access to the SP (Oracle ILOM)

By default, network access to the SP is enabled and DHCP is used to obtain an IP address for the SP. You can disable or enable network access using the Oracle ILOM web interface or command-line interface.

  1. Ensure that you have Admin (a) role privileges in Oracle ILOM.
  2. To disable or enable network access to the SP in the Oracle ILOM web interface:
    1. Log in to the Oracle ILOM web interface using an account with Admin (a) role privileges.
    2. Click ILOM Administration → Connectivity → Network → Network Settings.
    3. For the network State property, select Enable or Disable.
    4. To save the network property changes, click Save.
  3. To reset the server in the Oracle ILOM command-line interface (CLI):
    1. Log in to the Oracle ILOM CLI.
    2. At the Oracle ILOM CLI prompt, type set /SP/network state=value.

      The value can be:

      enabled

      (Default) The SP can be accessed from the network.

      disabled

      The SP cannot be accessed from the network. You can only use the SER MGT serial connection.
