The Advanced Options section allows you to control which files or solutions are searched when you perform a search with your specified search terms. You can use Advanced Options to make your search very specific – for example, you can search only in published solutions, or search only solutions belonging to certain Owning Groups, or search files but not solutions. To constrain your search, you can:
Search only solutions by selecting or creating a saved Solution Search Query (Search Solutions radio button).
Search files and solutions by specifying ad hoc solution search criteria (Search Files and Solutions radio button).
