ATG Content Administration contains compare features that let you review the differences between two versions of an asset. You can only compare checked-in versions of the same asset; the working version of an asset cannot be compared with any other version.
Note also that you can use the compare feature only for repository assets, not for file assets. Repository assets include Core Commerce assets, such as product catalogs, and many custom asset types. File assets include any assets created using the WWW Text File Asset or WWW Binary File Asset types, as well as personalization assets such as scenarios, slots, and targeters and any other asset stored in the /atg/epub/file/ConfigFileSystem repository.
To perform the comparison:
Display the Assets tab.
Click the name of the asset whose versions you want to compare.
Display the History tab.
Select the two versions you want to compare.
Click Compare Selected Versions.
The Compare Asset History page appears, showing the properties of the two versions side by side in two columns. See Resolving Asset Conflicts for information on how to merge the properties together.
